It also prepares them for a future where these skills will be increasingly important.

The main focus is on developing a structured curriculum for 7-13 year olds and delivering after school classes. Parents' input is being actively sought through a survey and follow-up discussions. Digital Knights was created by Dr. John Sloan - a father, Trinity College Research Fellow and CISSP certified cybersecurity professional. It was inspired by his desire to prepare his own children for entry into the digital world, chats with other parents who share similar concerns, and calls from various national bodies for improved education in this area.
